Overview

 The Welder Fabricator works directly with the Fabrication Machine Shop and Maintenance Department to design and fabricate working from blueprints, repair equipment, replacement parts and assemblies.

 Job Responsibilities

 Industrial welding and fabrication

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sketches
• Experience welding various metals
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Maintain shop equipment and work area in clean, orderly condition
• Perform welding tasks, operate cutting torch and plasma cutter
• Operate band saw, drill press and iron worker
• Operate CNC plasma torch table
• Performs tasks in other areas of maintenance department
• Performs other required tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

 At least four years’ experience in fabrication and welding

• Knowledgeable of various types of welding; MIG/Stick/TIG
• Strong skill in all welding positions, including vertical
• Able to accurately read tape measure and convert measurements to decimals
• Millwright and rigging experience
• Blueprint reading and interpretation
• Welding certificate preferred
• Successful completion of welding test
• Able to lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds independently
